The partners of Robert Bates & Co, located in Parramatta, have successfully been servicing their clients for a combined period of 60+ years.
They offer a comprehensive suite of business services for all our clients who have various business types in many different industries.
Robert has recently celebrated his 40th anniversary as a member of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand, and during his professional career has mentored his business partner Sharon, who has close to 20 years’ experience in the accounting industry.
Throughout Robert’s professional career he has worked for both large and small accounting firms as well as spending a period of his career teaching accounting at TAFE.
Robert also has a long history of involvement the sport of cycling including 10 years as a Board member of Cycling Australia. He has also been involved at a local level with Parramatta Cycling Club as a founding member and is still involved 50 years on.
In his spare time Robert likes to ride his bike to get fit to trek and climb mountains in far flung places such as Ecuador, Nepal, India, Bolivia, Tanzania, Spain, Morocco and Peru. He and his wife Jude also enjoy walking holidays such as Santiago de Compostella. Much time is now taken with entertaining the grandchildren and he and Judy are blessed with three little granddaughters who are the apples of his eyes.
Sharon enjoys escaping the city to Gerringong Beach with her partner Grant and their young son, Ryan.
The Parramatta Eels NRL team have a di-hard supporter in Sharon who is patiently waiting for their next premiership. With Grant she has become a Sydney Swans fan as well.
Sharon is proud to be a committee member of the Making a Difference for Christmas Charity which is well known in Parramatta for its annual Christmas luncheon held in the Parramatta Town Hall for the lonely and needy and the Biggest Morning Tea held in May for the Cancer Council.
